Driver Announcement 10/11/2024: Installation of Vehicle Cameras

Dear Laclede Drivers,

We are committed to ensuring your safety and providing you with the best tools to do your job effectively. As part of this effort, starting immediately, we will begin installing cameras in all Laclede vehicles. This decision comes in response to a requirement from our insurance provider and will provide multiple benefits to both you and Laclede Cab

Key Features of the Cameras:

  • Forward and Inward Facing: These cameras will monitor the road ahead as well as activity inside the vehicle.

  • Audio Capability: The system is equipped with audio to capture important conversations, which can be useful in the event of disputes.

  • Driver Analytics: The cameras will record valuable data such as vehicle speed, g-force from sharp turns, and sudden stops, helping to prevent accidents before they happen.

Announcement to drivers 8/9/2024

We have important news for changes taking effect 8/12 and 8/19. 

Aug 12, 2024:  We will be implementing a customer fare increase.  This change means you’ll earn more for each ride, reflecting the outstanding service you provide.

The new meter rate will be:

$4.50 for the FIRST 1/10th of a mile.

$3.00 for each additional mile after.

Waiting time remains at $40.00/hour

Extra passenger fee remains at $1.00 after the first passenger.

Fuel surcharge remains at $1.00 per trip.

Van request fee remains at $5.00 per trip.

The average fare should increase by a little over $4.00, meaning the average driver should see over $34.00 in increased revenue per DAY without changing your working habits.

Aug 19, 2024:  Lease fee update

In line with our continuous efforts to improve our services and support for you, we will also be updating the lease fees effective August 19th. This adjustment helps us continue providing you with the top-notch resources and support you deserve as a valued driving partner. 

New lease rate: $762 per week ($127 per day, 7th day free).

New Owner’s lease rate: $478 per week.

NO VAN SURCHARGES.
